Web Design 101 for Service-Based Businesses
Your website should do these three things:

1. Immediately Convey How you Help Solve a Problem

As a service-based business owner, you are a problem solver! Your website should allow your prospective clients to both visualize and understand how you will solve their problems. This should be done “above the fold”, meaning before they even begin scrolling.

2. Tell your Authentic Brand Story

To develop trust and rapport with your prospective clients, you must demonstrate your consistency and authenticity. That means displaying a cohesive and clear message across your entire website (plus your social media channels and marketing materials).

3. Lead the Prospect to Conversion

If your website doesn’t convert (i.e.: result in paying clients), it doesn’t work. This final and most critical step is user flow throughout the site and a clear Call to Action. Is it easy to navigate? Does it answer their questions? We create websites that result in business.

Ready for a New Website?
Here’s How We Roll.

We specialize in minimalistic, clutter-free websites for small service-based businesses. That means professional organizers, coaches, designers, course-creators, mental and physical wellness professionals, realtors, contractors, etc.

STEP 1: Info Gathering

Once you’ve signed our client agreement, we’ll send you a detailed questionnaire to get the gears turning (in a well-oiled sort of way). We will review it and schedule a phone consultation to discuss your answers and ask additional clarifying questions.

STEP 2: First Draft

Next, Bishop Content Studio will begin the first draft of your site, reaching out for additional information along the way. Then we will schedule a Zoom call to review the draft and receive feedback from you.

STEP 3: Second Draft

With your feedback, we head back in for draft two! This second draft will include a more granular focus on conveying your brand story, getting the voice absolutely spot-on, and mapping the user journey through the site. We’ll then review together.

STEP 4: Final and SEO

Once we have a final draft, it’s time for some SEO magic! We’ll add targeted keywords, headers and alt text, then check the final copy and publish the site. We’ll also make sure Google knows you’ve arrived to the party. Finally, we’ll make sure you have access and ownership of YOUR website.
