Leveraging social media should always be an integral part of any business.
Think about the meaning of the word “social.” It calls to mind engaging, talking, connecting. More and more these days, the algorithms that drive visibility are determined by the quality of the content and the subsequent level of engagement that people have with it.
Your social media presence gives credibility and context to your brand. It allows you to share more about who you are with your customers, clients and future brand advocates. It helps you to engage with the public, answer their questions and show the real people behind the scenes.
Social media is also an important piece of the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) puzzle. It allows potential clients and customers to find you and learn more about your business, and it gives search engines the message that you are an active, engaged business.
For many business owners, posting on social can be an overwhelming process.
Since each platform has a different way of delivering and presenting content, it can be hard to know which platform to focus on.
To answer this question, our job is to first understand your end goal. Do you want to improve your search engine optimization? To create a closed community that is private and intimate, or obtain a large following? Each platform provides a somewhat different outcome, and the rules of engagement can vary dramatically.
We offer three services when it comes to social media:
Social Audit and Strategy Session
Many small businesses already have established social media channels and a certain number of followers. During the audit phase, Veronica will perform a complete review of all existing platforms associated with your business, and produce a report of observations, identified gaps and suggestions for improvement.
This report will then be delivered at our strategy session, which requires about two hours of face-to-face time. Together, we will review the report, and she will give you some strategies for improving your social media presence as a whole.
These strategies will likely include the following:
- Review of WordPress Yeast SEO best practices for internal blog posts
- Language use within a post (how you describe what you are posting based on the platform)
- Hashtag purpose and use
- Social cover images and their importance in telling your story
- Profile description and language: how effectively you are telling your story and relating what you do
- Quality and types of external posts
- Post frequency
- Social media engagement best practices
- Content suggestions based on industry
Social Media Training
Want to get better at social media, or learn how to excel within a specific channel? Bishop Content Studio offers one-on-one training designed to transfer skills so that you have the confidence to manage your own social media. Training is offered live in Portland, Oregon and online via Zoom webinar.
Personalized training videos are also available, and are a great option for those who want to be able to return again and again to a video for reference.
Social Media Management
If you are looking for someone to post, comment, engage and increase your online presence for you, you are looking for a social media manager. We provide social media management services for every social platform out there! Our recommendation is to choose two or three platforms to post to regularly, and focus our attention on those.
Our process for starting work with a new client is to perform the social audit and strategy session first. Once we are clear on your goals, Veronica will draw up a recommended strategy for each platform and begin posting right away. We do NOT use Hootsuite or other apps to schedule posts, as we have experienced a better result from posting organically and within the individual app. The result is that your posts will be guaranteed to be 100% accurate, timely and relevant.
Bishop Content Studio focuses primarily on the following platforms:
