Leveraging social media should always be an integral part of any business.
Think about the meaning of the word “social.” It calls to mind engaging, talking, connecting.
Having a social media presence online gives credibility and context to your brand. It allows a business to share more about who they are with their customers, clients and future brand advocates. It helps you to engage with the public, answer their questions and show the real people behind the scenes.
These days, people truly want to know WHO they are putting their trust in, and social media is the best and most efficient way to do that. People will follow you because your brand solves a problem or serves a need, and they will continue to follow you because they know, like and trust you.
For many business owners, posting to social media can be a tedious and overwhelming process.
Since each platform has a different way of delivering and presenting content, it can be hard to know which platform to focus on. Some platforms use hashtags, others do not. How long should your character count be? How should you present the content in the most engaging way? These are all excellent questions, especially for business owners who are not particularly interested in using social media themselves. If that describes you, than you need a social media manager!
As a social media manager, our job is to first understand your end goal. Do you want to improve your search engine optimization? Receive more phone calls? Do you want to create a closed community that is private and intimate, or obtain a large following? Each social media platform provides a somewhat different outcome, and the rules of engagement can vary dramatically.
We offer two services when it comes to social media:
Social Media Audit and Strategy Session
Many small businesses already have established social media channels and a certain number of followers. During the audit phase, usually performed virtually, Veronica will perform a complete review of all social media platforms associated with your business, and produce a report of observations, identified gaps and suggestions for improvement.
This report will then be delivered at our strategy session, which requires about two hours of face-to-face time. Together, we will review the report, and she will give you some strategies for improving your social media presence as a whole.
These strategies will likely include the following:
- Review of WordPress Yeast SEO best practices for internal blog posts
- Language use within a post (how you describe what you are posting based on the platform)
- Hashtag purpose and use
- Social cover images and their importance in telling your story
- Profile description and language – how are you telling your story and relating what you do?
- Quality and types of external posts
- Post frequency
- Social media engagement best practices
Social Media Management
If you are looking for someone to post, comment, engage and increase your online presence for you, you are looking for a social media manager. We provide social media management services for every social platform out there! Our recommendation is to choose two or three platforms to post to regularly, and focus our attention on those.
Our process for starting as a social media manager is to perform the social media audit and strategy session first. Once we are clear on your goals, Veronica will draw up a recommended strategy for each platform and begin posting right away. We do NOT use Hootsuite or other apps to schedule posts, as we have experienced a better result from posting organically and in live time. The result is that your posts will be guaranteed to be 100% accurate, timely and relevant at all times.
